Wrapped my exhaust and trimmed the tail a bit

I put some exhaust/header wrap on my exhaust and sprayed it with the high temp paint. Also trimmed the tail down a bit and relocated the license plate.
I'd like to get some termis, but will probably wait a while because of the cost... knowing that I'll eventually change my exhaust anyway, I decided to do this little mod until then. Here's some pics. Thanks for looking

Cool - I think that does it - while waiting for new exhaust
Where did you buy it and are the black fasteners (can't remember the right word) easy to get?

Those are hose clamps and you can get them at any home improvement store... the 4" ones just barely fit around the cans. I have two per can one at the start of the wrap and one at the end. They are actually silver but I painted over them when painting the wrap. The paint is "High-temp Silicone Coating" -

I'm debating whether to paint the exhaust shields or not with it... or maybe just take them off all together now, especially since the heat on the pipes aren't as bad.

Niiiiiiiiiiiiice!
Very well done! Works great with the color scheme on the bike.
Personally, I kinda like the little bit of contrast the heat shields give. Then again, with a red frame, what would you think of hitting them with some red Krylon? Worst case scenario is you don't like it and end up taking them off anyway, right?
Now to
do something about those fork reflectors
...

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

Leave the shields as they are. Too much of one color makes things look homemade, IMO (but not red, do you think?)

it looks good. nice job on the wrapping. Most that I see are not wrapped cleanly and look preety bad.

Thanks everyone.
Yeah, I'm still mulling over the reflector thing - aesthetics versus safety... aesthetics versus safety... we'll see.
I think I probably will leave the heat shield... though painting it red (or maybe just part of it) would be interesting. That brings up another idea I had about the cans. I was wondering what the ends might look like painted red. Don't know if I'd want to paint the whole end (everything that is still silver) or just part of it red. Maybe I'll use some red electrical marking tape first on it to see what it looks like.

Done. Took all of 2 minutes to get the reflectors off and peel the adhesive off with my fingers.
Now I have to figure out what I'm going to do with my mirrors. I actually find them pretty useful above 5k (they shake pretty bad below that), but I just don't like the look.

Sounds familiar, I'm sure I've heard someone wanting to replace them
Maybe alternatives can be bought?

Two words: bar end.
The
Napoleons
on my Sport Classic are pretty freakin' sweet.
But the CRG's (at the bottom of that page) look pretty good on a Monster, too.
Its all about personal taste. Which you don't seem to be lacking.

Supposed to wrap the headers not the mufff.
At least that is what we racer dudes did.

Generally, you use header wrap to wrap headers, not mufflers. Tend to actually work a lot better.
