Buddy of mine, not on the Monster List, lives at 2244 across the street from the County Line on the Hill, owns a wicked, black, 999s and several other exotic bikes.
I have access to a condo in Lakeway at the World of Tennis. Love to ride up on my Monster and rail with you guys some time.
Cheers.

Funny..I think I saw him riding the black 999s yesterday alog with a rice burner. They were on 2244 (Bee Cave Hwy) heading West and just about to turn onto Cuernavaca Rd.
I also saw a Red S4Rs just before that on 2244 just getting to Bee Cave.
10/10s..where you at? I'm in Lakeway on 620..near Chilis. Let me know when you're out this way!

Yeah. I'm out here in Lakeway. So far..it's not too bad. The humidity is tolerable. Lots of riding to be had here. Housing hasn't skyrocketed yet. Nice "scenery"!
Hey, IZ, how's Texas treating you?

Thanks Duc'L!!
Austin is cool! I really do like it here! The weather has been a bit hot but I'll take sunny and sweltering ANYDAY over rain and gloom in the NW!!
Trying to see as much as possible, ride and get involved with the local Aikido dojo and my gym. Going to Barton Springs tomorrow and to the botanical gardens. Thanks for asking!

Yeah, that was him, he was riding with a buddy on a Gixxer, I'm an ex-pat Austinite in Louisiana like Scott said.
By the way, Scott, got the Monster running. I'm riding every day until I go back on the road on the 24th for the F-150 dealership training tour.
Austin just isn't the same to me, I'm such an old fart, I remember when 2244 was a two lane road out in the middle of nowhere that only hard core riders knew about and would ride on to get away from town. Now.....well.........too many damn people and cars.
I remember when you could be a bass player in a garage band, sleep until Noon, and live a great life in Austin.
Now, you need to have a job(!) to make money to live in a tiny apartment to fight the masses of Damn Yankees and Californians that have flooded the roads with BMWs doing 30 mph in the fast lane.
Sorry, thanks for letting me vent.
Enjoy Austin, get out from Lakeway and ride west on 71 to the Exxon and make a left out on Hamilton Pool road, go over the low water crossing and ride out to 12 and on to 290, hang a right on 290 and go through Dripping Springs, then turn left on 165 to Blanco, go straight through the court house square and stop at one of the dams along the river on the left just past town. Wade into the water and step in the T-Rex footprints in the river bed. Get back on the bike, head west and then turn left onto 1888 and ride until it "T"s into 281, turn right and stop in Luckenbach.
If you are up for a full day's ride, then ride north to 290, go left into Fredericksburg, then right onto 965 to Enchanted Rock, left onto 16 to Llano, stop at Cooper's BBQ and eat. Ride home on 71 or take 29 over to 1431 and ride 1431 rollercoaster to 183 and then home.
Cheers.

Scott,
Well, don't know about seized engine yet, haven't torn her down.
Got the used engine I bought from a guy in California installed and running.
Brakes were shot, now have all new Brembo masters and SS lines. Stops RIGHT NOW.
Bike is starting to really come together now. All new switch gear, new "superbike" handlebar, octopod gauge cluster, bike looks better than what you saw at Coyote Ranch I.
Now I just need to get this expensive built engine rebuilt and installed.
Also need to install the Ohlins remote reservoir shock and Race Tech internal Showa forks I picked up form a coupla guys.
Gonna wait until this winter for that stuff. I'm riding her for awhile, been without her for over a year now and miss the experience. Been riding the V-Strom I rode to Arkansas with you, Swanny and Bryant. Nice bike, but no Monster. I put a Sorpion can on her to give me a little V-twin growl, that actually helped a lot in making the v-Strom more fun to ride. Still....it's not a Monster.
I rode her all day yesterday, then washed her before putting her away for today's Tropical Strom passing.
My Ford F-150 tour ends December 6th. I'm going to ride to this metric mechanic place in Houston that Hiero told me about and have them rebuild the "big" engine and R&R it in and install the suspension bits. She'll be ready for a Spring ride back to Russelville with you guys. I need to see Bryant's 848 and your 1098.
Cheers.

When my new career allows, I'll be there.
Gotta do Arkansas again. Gotta.
And I need to see if the burger girl at the Texas Hill Country Motorcycle Museum is of legal age by now. I missed Coyote Ranch II and III.
