Ride to Quail Motorcycle Gathering, Carmel CA

I live at Lake Arrowhead, CA ride a Monster M1100, and am interested in riding up to the Quali Motorcycle Gathering in Carmel during May. Total distance about 400 miles. Plan on going across Angeles Crest, to Camarillo, Santa Barbara, then up the coast as much as possible, avoiding L.A. and all major freeways.  One stop, San Luis Obisbo?, and then into Carmel/ Monterey.  Any interest?

Maybe?  May is a long ways away.  But I've wanted to go there and check out the bikes, just lazy.
