Congrats. waytogo

Thanks!

As Diva pointed out, this has been a long time coming. 6 years actually.

I bought an 06 when they first came out and was in love. I sold it in 09 for divorce reasons (wanted her name off the title and was wanting to give KTM a try). I've had a hole in my moto soul since the day it left.

How are they on the street?

Save for the paddock I've only ridden mine at highway, up to straight to jail type speeds as its track only.

I did 13,000 miles, probably 12,5 on the street. I even rode it 600 miles to dimby in a day, and back again two days later.

I thought it was great!

but what bike does he take to the track?  a bloody 675 triumph!
reckons it way better than any of his others.
And yes, he has some 'R' versions....

Yes!

I can't wait to ride this thing.

Also, it's snowing right now.

Dreams crushed.

Yeah, especially if Herm is planning another dual-sport route on Saturday.

Sweep maybe especially hard this year if you have to keep riding up to remind the Aussie to stay on the right side of the road.  Cheesy

As he'll be on one of mine, I'll make sure to put a sticker on the gages reminding him to keep right ALL THE TIME!

Ung's pretty switched on, he'll be right after a few clicks I'd reckon!

Weathers starting to tame a little here. I can't wait to get this thing registered and start putting on some miles.

2012.. Ok. Some info may be a bit date specific since they did updates along the way... But

If run hard, the heat exchanger unit likes to shit the bed.  It's the odd round gizmo on the front of the case with coolant hoses running to it.  If it gives up, it blows coolant into the oil.  There's a couple flavor of kits out there to separate the oil cooling from the water totally

Rear suspension linkage is progressive fwiw.  I found it to be a tad problematic since the springs were soft for me and I'd get a lot of squat getting on the power coming out of corners

The automatic cam chain tensioner isn't so hot.  There's manual replacements

The gear shifter shaft is kinda long and can be sloppy.  There's an external support for it from Sato.

If your looking for rearsets, look at Attack.  Well done, swaps from regular to GP shift with one bolt. Lots of adjustments and features to protect them in a crash.

You can use TuneECU on it for free. Plenty of mapping info out there.  Also can let you adjust the speedo to correct for gearing changes.  You do need a windows computer or VM and an ODB cable.

Captive wheel spacers and a captive rear caliper mount make wheel changes a lot easier

What's the ticket for the heat exchanger?

I see triumph race support sells one. Is there a better solution?

Unless I learn some new ground breaking information I'll plan on machining my own. I know I have some 4" round 6061 laying around that I'm sure would work fine.
