Alright so another freeish mod. On my particular bike if I cut the lid on my airbox will that affect the fuel/air mixture to the point i need a power commander? I'm pretty sure my bike is fuel injected. I've heard that if you just pull the battery for 30 min the bike will "auto adjust" to compensate. Only other mod that would affect this is mivv high mount slip ons. Just dont want to run the bike if it will cause a lean condition. Thanks guys!

Also how would riding in the rain affect it?

Power Commander with a Dyno tune would be best.  PC with a canned map next best and a simple CO trim might be enough to make you happy.  Disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes will only reset your clock to 30 minutes slow.

CO trim is the percentage of fuel/air as it comes out the exhaust.

Question, did you install a performa ce air filter? If not, ride bike and listen for "pops" thru airbox, if NO pops or every so often you are 'OK' . .

If you have installed a performance air filter you will need to take it to a shop that has an exhaust gas analizer and set it between 3.5%~4.5% . . .

That is how I have mine set up . .

Ahh ok. Nope stock filter. The snorkel is awful small in the stock cover. I may just get the PC3 and go with a pre- installed pipe map. It seems that airbox open would be a huge improvement with that small opening. I had  a pc3 on my rc51 but that was already dialed in when i bought it.

Search 'Airbox Mods' to check out what other folks have done.
