shopping list:
oil
1 filter
2 crush washers (one for the drain plug, one for the oil screen)

you dont need a new oil screen, you just clean the one you got.

Got it! Thanks! On my way to Munroe now...

If you're going to take off the oil screen, you might want to check with dark to see if he has the gigantic allen required to pull it off. otherwise, you could do this at a different time. Its like a 14mm allen or something..

I would have brought mine but I didnt think anyone was going to take the screen out. Its not really required, you could skip out on it.

I don't have a 14mm allen wrench.   Undecided

For some reason 14mm allen wrenches are not that easy to find.

i have one!  and i'd be happy to bring it.

things are looking good for me for tomorrow, but again, i'll be running a little late.  hope to arrive around noon.  if you can wait, i'll have it.

also, it sounds like there's plenty of booze already (unless you want more).  anything else i can bring that will fit in a backpack?  chips & dip maybe?...hopefully the chips don't get crushed.  Tongue

I hope everyone likes smooshed hot dog buns...I picked up the filter, oil and crushwashers... a) I had no idea the filter was so small and b) I had no idea the can of oil was so frickin' BIG!  Skipped the screen.  Hmmm, will be an interesting ride to DarkStar's tomorrow am... with two bottles of booze and that BIG thing of oil!  laughingdp

So...I'm bringing some soda (diet/reg), cheese/crackers, and some nasty veges/dip (I hate health food). I would have brought candy, but I can't hang on to it long enough to share.

I'll bring some rum that I brought back from Nicaragua, some brats, buns, tomatoes, and mozarella...let me know if you need anything else!  Thanks in advance to DarkStar and others for showing me the way!  Grin

I better not have any though - I already have two left hands!  Grin
Oh, and I hope someone has an affinity for Glenmorangie, 12 Year, Port Wood Finish scotch...it's a bit too peety for my liking...

Whoa now, what happened to donuts and beer?
Go away for a'while and you'se people get all hooty tooty!

Though... I could get used to this.   Grin

I'll dig up my spare, should be there bright an early, assuming Someguy can drag his hungover keister outta bed.

I hope your wrench day is going well!

I'm just about done here:

*SIGH*

Picking up some parts tomorrow at ACE's hopefully that'll let me finish... trying to get the bearing race/oil seal swapped over to the new triple clamp...  Any tips anyone?

I was so busy today I missed almost everyone.  The bike is as ready as ever for the trip though, oil change and new chain took way longer than they should have... sigh.  Hope everyone was as productive Smiley
