received a brochure from the qld transport dept. today with stupid, manipulated statistics on it and a web site to look at

strange how 83% of fatalities are the riders fault yet "most" bike accidents happen at T intersections, and "most" bike fatalities are single vehicle accidents, and "most" rider fatalities are speed related.
so if you're speeding, and all alone on the road, watch yourself at T intersections, you may get confused and die after crashing into what??
oh! did you know you can trave 3 abreast in a single lane as long as one of you is turning right? THREE!!!! WTF?

With fear of playing devil's advocate again, we can hope that the only people viewing this website will be those just getting started in the bike scene and, IMHO, a good dose of negativity may be of some benefit to someone who's just seen Casey Stoner win another race and wants to emulate that in their local streets on some crappy old bucket of shite.
Only problem is that those writing this propaganda tend to actually believe it and can influence those writing the rules.

There is an old saying "Lies, damned lies and statistics!" Use 'em selectively to support what you are attempting to foist upon the public, trouble is a lot of the dimwitted dickheads believe the crap.
