Thanks guys! I'm very happy with how the paint came out. The Imola orange pearl is magnificent in the sun. Hopefully it'l look even better when the swing arm and frame get coated as well.

Bike looks great, but I do have one suggestion. Do something with the exhaust mounting bracket. It looks completely out of place on the otherwise spotless bike. It looks like it was just a spare piece of aluminum with some holes drilled in it.

Yea, I'm going to have that powdercoated to help draw attention away from it. I feel the same way about it.

Yea I designed the piping configurations and piping ID based on data collected from Brad (Bikeboy.org) and other users that fabricated their own 2-1 exhaust. I haven't gotten on the dyno yet, but doing some street tuning, it does feel like it pulls stronger in all RPM's. Mainly the throttle response is excellent, but that could probably be from the microtec ECU.

I'm sure you'll round off the bracket edges too.

Yea, I'm going to soften the edges and round things off. Then powdercoat it semi gloss black. The choice on wheels and exhaust can was to try to modernize the bike, so you nailed my philosophy. I didn't really know how it'd all turned out, but I so very pleased with it. Just some small details left to do, but I'm try to ride as much as I can before the TX heat kills me!

My fabricator/welder friend welded up the exhaust! It's awesome to have a friend with those skills!

I freaking love your build.  You did a fantastic job.

I also swapped a HD Nightrod headlight onto my monster.  My one and only point of criticism is that the headlight would flow so much better with the bike if you could bring the headlight closer to the forks.  I custom made a bracket that sucked the headlight very close to the forks, and it looked really good.

No more so than just about any other marque. It is a very common mod which may lengthen the battery service life, and reduce sprag abuse.

To get one, just Google away. There are several vendors to pick from who offer ready made kits. You will also find a vendor who will make them to your specified lengths, or sell you the parts. Or you can easily make your own from scratch from readily available components and save some coin.

Or, leave the stock cables in place. Many have done so with no problem.

+1, it was a win win scenario for me to change it since it gave me a chance to put a nice braided cover over the wire for aesthetic reasons as well make starts easier with less wear on your battery system.
