Don't act like your not posting from your cell phone because you're camped out in front of the local theatre waiting to see the first showing of Mamma Mia!

The s/o just told me 2 days ago that Mama Mia was a friggen musical set to Abba songs.    

Um..No!  I didn't wait in line for  Star Wars..the new I-phone..and certainly not this movie!!

You know, as someone who was in high school in the 70's and especially as someone who started listening to pop music in Germany when ABBA was as big as the Beatles, Mamma Mia was an absolute hoot, at least on stage. I especially liked the part at the end when the overweight, middle-aged former pop stars stuffed themselves into glittery spandex and tottered around on platform boots. Oh, and the guys dancing in snorkel gear including fins was pretty good, too.

I hope they didn't take the self-parody out of the movie.

Okay... I reverse my prior worst song on iPod... I am listening to my music on random... and "Twist of Fate" by Olivia Newton John comes on... crikeys... where the hell did that come from?? Of course it was followed by "Burn" by The Cure... so I felt like I was redeemed... but I really need to take some of this stuff out of my play lists.

<shrug> I don't listen to pop music much at all any more. The 70's had an awful lot to apologize for besides ABBA. I mean, I've got photographic evidence of lime green polyester leisure suits that were the height of fashion!

The iPod is shared, so it reflects my wife's tastes as well as my 13 year-old's.

Hooty Sapperticker is still the worst ever. It totally blows ABBA out of the water. Come to think of it, it simply totally blows.
