Throttle sticks after riding in the rain

So, I rode home in torrential downpours on sunday for like 3 hours...really really heavy rain. Not the smartest thing I've ever done, but anyways... I got on the bike today to ride to work and lo and behold, the throttle sticks open. like doesn't close AT ALL, and opening the throttle is difficult. Has anyone else had this problem after riding in the rain? Where should I start? Throttle bodies? Throttle assembly at the bars? Just hit it with some cable lube? If I have to lube the throttle bodies, what kind of lube should I use for that?

Start simple and work to hard.  So check on the assembly at the bars and while you've got the cable free from the tube, see if just the tube sticks

Next you could disconnect the cable from the cam at the throttle bodies and see of the cam will move freely once the cable it detached. 

By separating the sub systems, you can home in on the problem area.  If it turns out the be the cable, I've got some cable specific lube and one of those clamp on gizmos to force the spray into the cable.

I'll probably be on the later side since I need to run an errand 1st.  But I can bring the lube and gizmo... Hmm that sounds so wrong.

This is probably not the case but... I was riding home from a 100 mile ride the other day when my throttle wouldn't snap back and became tough to twist.  I pulled over and believe it or not the grip had slid off the throttle just enough to rub against the bar end making a friction point.

Probably too easy but like yuu said start with the simple.
