Hi all,
The cost of valve shim kits is co$tly, and you will only use a few from a kit so that makes it costly for individuals.
Best remove the valve covers, each shim is stamped with it's size markings, from that it's possible to predict the next size needed using a feeler gauge and the known current shim size.
A lot of people file or sand shims down if smaller size is required thought this can cause rocker arm wear on the heat treated finish.
Ask around your local Ducati clubs, someone may have a shim kits and sell single shims at a fair price, if not then either access current shim sizes then buy head of time or else likely you need to remove, measure and refit before ordering then replace on another date.
It's not rocket science though it is fiddley, I'd suggest a magnetic pick up tool to help with the collets and allow a day in the garage if it's your first time.
Hope this helps
