Hello everyone! I have a 696 as my first big bike ad i love it! So much more fun than the 250 ;)

So far all it has is a set of termis and a bit lowered (short legs :D ). I hope to get some good ideas and advice from fellow members

Welcome Shannon,

I'm in Perth WA (Shenton Park) & have small warehouse (Belmont) full of Ducati parts if you are ever in need (picked up heaps of carbon goodies from a 2014 M659 yesterday  ;D)

Enjoy your Monster & once again - Welcome   [beer]

NICE BIKE  [thumbsup]

Go to your profile/look and layout/click the check  box that says leave words uncensored.

That isn't the problem...I don't think.

Ooohhh Il definitely have to keep that in mind ;)

So just curious (I'm a car person just starting out in the motorcycle world lol) is there much/any difference between the 2014 and mine? Iv noticed the frames on the older monsters 90s and even early and mid 2000s are very different to mine. Up until 2010 ish. So would I be safe in assuming 2010 is sort of like the next model of monster up until now? And anything from that era will work with mine?

I hope that makes sense haha

2008 saw the new generation of Monster for which you have.  This style of Monster ran until 2014, apart from a few small differences between the years most parts for bike between 2008 to 2014 are compatible.  2009 saw the M1100 introduced which featured the single swingarm.
(Very very brief history which I'm sure I'll be corrected on!  [thumbsup])
