Some talk of a suspension linkage failure on Baz's bike.
Given the amount of data the bikes log, they should be able to look at the suspension travel sensor and IMU info and figure out what happened.

Just watched Loris do an interview. He said he was going 290, and the tire disintegrated, had heard a noise a bit earlier.
Jorge crashed

JLo went down in turn 5, a left, and left side of the bike is ground off.
Looks like he lost the front.

Great interview with my boy 'Maverick' talking about training on his Moto X bike, and his MotoGP bike for 16.

Michelin just pulled the soft rears for the rest of testing.

Video of Loris' bike on the wagon, didn't look like any suspension issue, swingarm position looked normal.
IIRC, he's the heaviest rider in the paddock (all 79 kilo of him
).
And on the soft tire.

Loris got lucky. Not good when the back tire explodes at 300kph.
The sound was pretty impressive.
The look on Dylan Grey's face was priceless.

I read that there were a ton of front end crashes, including Jorghey. Was that on the soft or hard option tires? I doubt we'll see Jorghey at the top for the remainder of the test, he simply will not risk it.

I read that Baz's team was running the tire pressure under the limit Michelin imposed to try to get some more rear grip... they are leaning towards that as the reason for the crash.
"The cause of the crash is still not entirely clear, but has been narrowed down to three possible causes. A problem with the engine was ruled out by the data, leaving just three possibilities: either the rear suspension broke, causing the tire to be ripped open; or there was a construction fault with the rear tire; or the rear tire overheated due to it being underinflated.
There is still no official explanation, but underinflation appears to be the probable culprit. Baz had suffered problems with a rear tire earlier in the day, which were also caused by running dangerously low pressures, with the aim of producing more grip and a better lap time. As a safety precaution, Michelin has temporarily withdrawn the tire Baz crashed on, the softer of the two compounds, and imposed a minimum inflation pressure of 1.7 Bar. Normally, teams would be running around 1.5 or 1.6 Bar, but there have been rumors of some of the teams at the bottom of the standings playing around with low tire pressures in search of extra grip."

Also, JLo thinks it was probably a cold used front that caused his crash... I cant find the direct quote though for some reason but I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere.

Video of Baz's incident:
Looked like the bike took a shot at him toward the end.
