On an 06 620 monster that has already been fitted with a 14 tooth front sprocket, what would I gain or lose if I went with an increase of one or two teeth on the rear sprocket?

More of the same as the 15 to 14 front sprocket. Front 15 to 14 lowers the gearing / raises the revs 6-7%. One tooth is ~2%

It will probably make the bike a little easier to ride slowly, it will feel faster and theoretically lose some top speed.

Will I have much of a first gear left if I  go with the 14t front sprocket and a 50t. rear? I have a 6 speed I might add.

I run 15/39 on my 5-speed M750.
So a 14/50 on your bike would make your 6th only a little higher than my 3rd.

What kind of riding do you do?

15/50?  Could be a great drag bike!  Anyway, go here to play with the numbers   http://www.gearingcommander.com/

When I picked up my 620 (5spd) it came 14/45. That was waaay too low for my tastes. Anything above 70mph and is sounded like it was going to grenade at any time. Dropped the rear to 43 and it's a good compromise.
