Rode in this morning and all is well. So far, I like the Angel GT. Seems to track well, very smooth and predictable.

Question: did you replace both or just rear?

Just the rear. Figured I'd let the front wear out. I anticipate it will about the same time I need to replace this rear.

Absolutely. Depending on how this rear lasts will determine if I replace it with the same and go with an Angel GT front or end up back with the PR's.

the Angel GT was the one OEM fitment for the MTS1200/S Grand Turismo . . . from previous generation and the guy that has one, hasn't replaced it yet and has about 8k miles on it

I'm hoping for ~10k. But even 8 would be better than the 6 I got from the Rosso II

Rosso is a SPORT tire Angel is a Touring tire . . . Even the Diablos that came OEM with my bike, didn't last more than 5K kms or about 3k miles Got better out of the Dunlop D220, almost 10 000kms

Angel ST and GT, I've gotten 12k out of several rears, and 20k out of the one front I've worn out so far.

That's what I'm looking for. I had the PR2s before and lasted almost 11k before a nail ended it.

As much as I'm sure the Rosso II is billed as a sport tire, I didn't really have confidence in it. I was way more confident with the PRs (both PR2 and PR3) than I was under the same conditions. I didn't feel the tire had great grip while even partially leaned over...

Have you changed the TC settings from what you had with the Rosso?

No, I am still running the default settings in the touring mode. I didn't really push it today, being a new tire and all, but I didn't feel any TC intervention.

OK, so still no TC intervention under hard acceleration or anything. But I have noticed that the profile of the Angel GT is different than the Rosso II. Drop in is much slower on the Angel GT, as expected, so it's just going to take a little getting used to.

That's my guess. I imagine the Rosso II is a more triangular profile.
