Okay, so it turns out it wasn't an S model but screw it. It's now been purchased and I'll pick it up in a couple of weeks.

Cheers. Yeah, would be sin not to have an upgraded exhaust of some sort.

Spike in PDX

Good choice! I loved the motor in my 1100S, it has a nice top end, but the torque makes just cruising around really nice too! It is flexible enough that anything from putting about to hauling ass is very enjoyable.

Thanks. I'm getting it delivered next week - just finalizing the paperwork with the dealer (dodgy buggers all of them).

That's good to hear as that's exactly what I'm after.

If it's available - bring the stock exhaust with you - good to have if 'someone' forces you to put it back on  Police

I'd rather go to jail then stick the stock exhaust back on!

Jail is nothing. Try being without your Precious.

It's just for the hour it takes to get it approved upon import and later if you have to 'fix it'.

Yeah. that's a fair point. I'll keep it UK registered for the year and either ride it back next year for the MOT or transfer it to Norwegian plates then. Though I think the stock cans are long gone. I assume these still have the baffles so it should all be road legal.

I'll still have European cover and the UK license plate makes it just that little bit more tricky to fine me Wink I did this with my SV a few years ago.

The carbon cans are Race Use Only, but as a UK citizen I think you'll be ok.

For Norwegian plates you'll have to have stock exhaust. You might be able to loan some from a club member or buy cheap online.

That's strange. Norway making things easy as usual. You're not wrong though, many Ducati owners flog the stock cans pretty cheap so we'll see. Otherwise the club suggestion isn't a bad one. Thanks for the heads up.

Open up your clutch and nobody will be able to hear the exhaust over the rattle!
