Ducati is the pretty girl that can't walk in heels without stumbling. I still love her.

Crashy Andrew did himself no favours again. Shame, he looked like he had pace like he often does, then pushed too hard.
There was a patch of different tarmac (a patch job) which appeared to have less grip on that corner. Both Dovi and MM lost the front as they hit it making it look like a synchronized crash. I don't think they were the only ones to crash there. I'll have to watch the replay closely.

Interesting.
Was there anything in particular that caused everybody to hit the deck?
Weather, or track conditions, or anything?

It is a slick track by nature and although the weather was ok, it was cloudy and not real warm. That patch job on the track will probably come under some scrutiny.

The Yamahas and Suzukis certainly seem to be the best handling bikes with the best front end grip compared to the Hondas and Ducatis which also happen to have more power. It's a tough balance at this level and Le Mans exposes any weaknesses in a bikes handling.

Lorenzo...Rossi...Vinales.
Iannone crashed out of second which put Dovi into second with Marquez in third...Rossi gaining.
Dovi and Marquez crashed simultaneously which put Rossi into second. Marquez rejoined and finished last.
Didn't wake up
... but wasn't VR 2nd when Dovi and MM slid?

Yeah...he had already passed them.
It put Vinales on the podium.

Yep, VR had a really good pace going. MM was already on the jagged edge trying to keep up, but that patch took both of them out real quick. Crashy Andres was in a completely different corner trying to catch up to Jorghey. I think Stoner would have described it as "his ambition outweighed his talent".

For sure Michelin is not helping in making interesting MotoGP races. Many racers described the current tires as unpredictable, where you go from good to really bad, in a fraction of lean angle.
The Bridgestone they say, gave more feedback, and you could work your way to your limit.

Yep, AI entered that corner all wrong, way to steep and in trying to correct it leaned it too far over and out it went.
I guess props to MM for staying in and salvaging some points. A few more laps he probably would've ended in top ten with all the falls

I remember a few years when the riders constantly complained about the Stones. These guys are the top riders in the world. You either adapt or you're out.
Cal is one of those that simply does not adapt to changes. He was good on the Yamaha, but has done squat on any other bike. Blaming the tires when so many others actually finish just shows that you have to either change what you're doing or slow down.

It's been said before and I'll say it again
I was hoping all the changes in tires, electronics, etc., would make this season a bit more fun.
Ducati needs to ditch both Andreas and pick up someone else to ride alongside Lorenzo.
