Hey fellow Monster owners!
I'm a little late to this site. I picked up a used 2012 796 ABS last August and I'm in love with it.
I joined this forum to pick up some ideas for cosmetic and performance mods. It came with Leo Vance pipes and frame sliders, I added an Evotech Fender Eliminator. I'm open to suggestions, feel the message me or direct me to a thread.

Then you and I are on the same sheet of music.  As the bike comes, it is too lean for good bottom end.  Personally, as soon as I get a set of cans for it (the Leo Vince are on my short list) I have a 2nd ECU I bought off eBay to have reflashed... and also get rid of the O2 sensors/flapper and help the throttle response.

I'm curious... yours already came with aftermarket exhaust; I wonder if the previous owner had the ECU reflashed already?



You said you are in Baltimore?  In my past life I used to dispatch gas trucks in the B'mo area (primarily 7-11 and Costco) along with Virginia and northern NC.

You could always start with a 14T front sprocket as many do. The one for 796 is specific BTW. Sponsor Monsterparts has them among others. Then take it from there.  Cool
