Dovi also very clear on the issue Rossi / Lorenzo:

"Here it comes to safety after the death of a pilot, not self-interest ... Those must be left aside now at this time"

This is a summary of Espargaro's:

Dovi and Pol Espargaro (like so many in the paddock) found completely out of the outputs Rossi and Lorenzo about the changes to the curve 9.

Valentino has even said that the change was made to facilitate the Honda Marquez (does not say it clearly, but it says "another bike").

Lorenzo said that nobody had invited him to make the decision about the 9 while Rossi knew but decided not to show up.

Pol Espargaro was very clear about:

"You go to the safety commission, you do not expect to be invited" (this refers to Lorenzo).

About Rossi's words are even more harsh:

"We can not think that the whole world is against us (we at Yamaha ed), and everybody wants to promote Marquez. I also pilot a Yamaha and also I go slower at that point, like all "

Crusty reckons they did the best they could to put in a quick fix for safety. He is on the safety commission. I guess I can take his word for it.

More good stuff from David:

I think rossi needs to get some counseling to help him deal with his paranoia.

I also think that lorenzo needs to check out that first book of Dale Carnegie's.

Rossi needs to watch he doesn't get lynched by the Spanish crowd and JLo needs to make sure he isnt seen as a traitor by his own people. Emotions can run pretty high re sport in that part of the world. While many have always seen JLo as a douche', some are seeing a side of VR they have never wanted to admit was there. Good on Smith for speaking out, spoken like a true union safety rep waytogo.

MM rode the wheels off the Honda and had one of the best saves you'll see.

Must have been more individual bike set up and tyre choice. Both MM and JLo had issues.

Why do you seem surprised?  Grin
They admitted they found the correct engine tune in the morning, which helped engine output in terms of traction, more than power.

Rossi is losing it again with his comments. It will never really impact his behavior since the fanboys will continue to idolize him and after that race nothing will change any time soon.

HRC knew that their bike doesn't do very well in the heat, that's why Dani went to the medium tire, even though they knew it would not last race distance. MM just rode the crap out of the bike, saving it a few times.

Lorenzo never liked the hard option tire, it's lacking in edge grip so he can't ride the smooth line. Crashy Joe had him in his sights and torpedoed him, almost as a big FU for taking his ride. His immediate reaction looked almost like he was blaming Lorenzo for the crash.

Maverick was all over the place in that race. If he would have been patient and worked with Pedrosa, they would have caught the front 3 early and it might have been different with Dani still having some tire left to battle and Lorenzo going backwards. I think Maverick could have potentially ended in second.

Ianonne, the human torpedo.

How much would you pay to have been a fly on the wall (fluent in Italian, of course) when Iannone sauntered back into the Ducati garage and encountered Dall'Igna for the first time?

Races always seem to get a bit more fun once JLo is out of contention. But damn... Iannonne's lucky he's already signed on for another team.

Looks like it's going to be another nail biter of a championship race again... the points are def close enough now that one or two bad turns of luck could even things up some more.
