I'm wondering, in general, where is the flasher unit for a turn signal usually located?  I guess the more pointed question is, if I were to take a turn signal off, and put my multimeter in the harness where is connects to the signal wires, would I see a pulsing voltage, or steady?

I'm looking to develop some LED turn signals, just wanted to know before I tare everything apart for testing.

What year monster?  It varies.  Newer (with Immobilizer) monsters is part of the instrument panel.  Older, it's a little box under the seat
