Man, you are disturbed... lol

i wouldn't have noticed that from the pic!

Forget lightweight wheels, he has the swiss cheese rotors --- the heaviest of the lot.

all the SL/FE bikes came with iron rotors too.

After having my own bike shop for years, you wouldn't believe how fast my eyes spot that sh*t.

I've had it save my  [bacon] and my customers many-a-time.  That literally took me less than a second.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Gonna part-out the stock wheels on my '04 Monster as 'Antique Superlight Wheels' for $4K and use the profit to put mags on the Monster  ;D

I'm sure that's light and it looks super, but it's not a SuperLight.

Those Marvics are a wonder of their time, but have issues with the metal going soft at the mount points.

I saw these brembos converted to look like the Marvic -- look almost the same and much safer.. :-)

Yep. I had to swap to heavy Brembos after mine were so buggered and unrepairable. Ducati ceased using those composite wheels after the first year of Superlights. Maybe because of issues on a road bike or maybe because of cost. The hub and spokes were mag so corrosion could be an issue while the bolt holes in the beautiful lightweight rim could round out due to issues with the bolts loosening off or even shearing.
Those polished rims look a good cosmetic option. I would fit fancy forged alloy wheels if weight saving was my goal.

I've a pair of brembos that I'll polish one day. I love that look.
