Nope, Carlos doesn't work for MotoWheels... I'm under the impression he lives in the wrong country. Wink
Nope, I work for MYSELF . ..  best boss ever . . .

I found the "other" velocity stack manufacturer/seller,

Ducati is the pretty girl that can't walk in heels without stumbling. I still love her.

I'd seen the kits, but am looking to roll my own to save the cash, and have a little fun...

What about using something like these ?    http://www.ebay.com/itm/161732359103?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

There are shorter ones as well from the S4 airbox.  You'd have to add some sort of spacer ring below the bellmouth for the filter to clamp to...
And I guess you'd retain the elbow/hoses?

The motowheels kit claims about 5 hp and 6 lbs torque increase "with ecu tuning" for two valve motors.  What's the typical increase from an ecu reflash alone?
