Owning an older Ducati monster has its benefits and not.
One of the "nots" would be the pathetic headlight.
It is your classic 7" round bucket headlight with a H4 bulb , looks are good as it is the quintasential original naked bike headlight .But
In reality living with its performance is another thing.
Daylight on high beam I assume it attracts attention of the cagers if they actually bother to look but at night its like your riding by the light of that dolphin torch you keep in your camping gear that has last years battery.

As I often ride home at night from work late at night visibility or lack of has become a safety issue.I updated the globe with an expensive super bright white light globe .....nah all that did was change the colour.
I added a nice little $ 30 eBay LED light bar mounted under the headlight on the lower fork clamps .
Now this was a great investment as it gets the drivers attention but only really added a bit of defused light two meter's in front on the road.

HID is too bulky with finding somewhere to instal the ballast on a naked frame.

The light is very well designed with precision especially with fitment , they have been designed to fit either the steel or plastic buckets and have a large O ring to keep moisture out and plug straight in to the H4 socket .
After riding home on my first test ride I am very happy , the light colour is white clear and sharp.
There is two round LED lights one for high and the other low beam on the side there are two vertical rectangle Led's that light up the side of the road when you are leaned over in a corner . The high beam is amazing it was lighting up signs 1/2 a k up the road.

The only issue I had which has been corrected was that the light is that sharp any movement from vibration of the bucket showed up as almost a strobe effect .
After making the headlight more stable with a small block of high density foam wedged behind the bucket this has been resolved.

Added bonus is that the aesthetics are good with a bit more of a modern look to the bike they also make lights for other bikes.

Great that its plug n play with the stock bucket. Sounds similar to one sold by Motowheels with an adaptor ring. A practical upgrade.

I have been running my Motodemic adapter and JW Speaker light (same one they sell in their kit) since December and love it. OEM fit with all the newer LED technology.

Two dogs do you have pics of the headlight and led bar you are running? I have really wanted to add some aux lights or a bar but can't decide what one I want to go with.

Their adaptive light is cool but $874?? Wow! Plus another 250 for the conversion kit. That's a bit steep....

I am running the evo J light which is the same as the Evo 2. That is a lot cheaper than the newest Adaptive light you're quoting. The Adaptive light is $800 alone so adding a housing (bucket) and all powder coated to match makes its $874. It costs $$$ to run the latest and greatest Which is why I don't have the new light haha.
As for the conversion, Brad (owner of Motodemic) makes some high quality parts that make the conversion process easy.

It's all on what you want to pay. A lot of people love Clearwater lights for Aux lights. I love them too but it will still be a while until i fork over $$$ for some aux lights.

I mounted the LED light bar on the bracket that used to hold the horn as I run a Steeble Nautilus also added a switch block on the bars so I can isolate it.

Anyone tried the Motowheels kit? It's about half price. I note they have an LED bulb kit now that fits the Monster bucket.
