Thought one or two of you might appreciate the technical side of this;  you might be familiar with the absurd design flaw found in the kickstand for a 999.  From the factory, the kickstand when down, puts the bike resting at an angle that feels like it's about to fall over.  It's the worst feeling because you know if it does start to fall from that angle, there's pretty much no saving it.

While the bike was at AMS waiting on the powder coated pipes, Jordan spent some time fixing the kick stand issue.  Here is what he did:

Once a 1/2" piece of metal was welded to the bottom of the kickstand, he ground down all of the rough edges to fit the original foot-print of the kickstand then media blasted and polished the entire piece.  The joint is undetectable and sits the bike at an appropriate lean.  It looks completely stock.  And the polished color is a match of the new powder coated pipes on the other side.

Totally trick  chug

I thought you were going to say that he built a holster on the bike to you can carry around that piece of wood!

I like what he actually did better.  applause
