Also, I just went to the Leo Vince website, and it didn't list the 696 as a model that they have slipons for...  Huh?

LV does not have their slipons available for the 696 on their website, but if you call and ask them they must be already available because I saw them on youtube.com

Leo Vince M696 GP series Slip-on

Leo Vince M696 Oval Aluminum Slip-on

my view on this is that the only way to go is termi, here is why, you get an italian bike and basically i think you should put on what is really teh italian exhaust that seems to "go with" the bike the best.

personally whenever i see a 748 that i want to buy with any exhaust other than termi, in a way it turns me off, for me personally the termi sound is the best sound out of alll the other brands.

can you put on other brands? of course, they are all made very well, but for some reason its just not "right" without a termi system on a ducati.  taht is my take on it.

WOW--they did a great job with marketing didn't they...?

yeah well pick your hobby or thing of preference and you'll notice that there is always a "traditional" or "right" thing to do and an "alternative" that is just as good but  your excuse for using the former not the latter wont' be because of price or such but bc its just "right"

sorta like soemone will say "you don't put milk in an espresso bc its just not right" someone else will and say "hey that is just not right"... guess that is just marketing eh?
