Hi all first time long time blah blah
Joined up because of my love for the Monster, I have a 03 Senna colours 1000s which I have since near new.
I have had many Ducati's but always came back to a Monster, I have recently started spending some bucks on it to make it handle and perform a bit better.
I have an all Italian stable with Cagiva,Husqvarna(Italian made one)and Beta.
I hope to have my Duc regoed in the next 12 months as there is a TT on the mid north coast of NSW that I can't wait to enter it in, I will be riding my Husky motard in it this year while my mates will be on their Ducati Darmahs
Any way thanks for reading

Not yet, but they are VERY appealing with their upright position.
They look like you could do some serious Kms(or Miles) on them without annoying arm cramps!!
And they look the part too, if I didn't have a monster I would get one I'm sure.
Have you done and work to yours?

It is well tuned and has the DP Termi full race exhaust and DP ECU. You can get a 100hp+ out of them without opening up the motor.

That's some good numbers!!! I had mine dynoed by a bloke in Penrith and got a solid 92Hp just with a set of cheap pipes. I'm looking at hi comp standard bore pistons, I have Termi pipes now open air box and PC111.
Here's a question, have you heard of anyone making a set of 45mm pipes for them??
After market headers are a bit of a mine field as the heads are different to the 900 but guys on other sites say they suit all models 1000 and 900
Lot of money if it don't fit!!

The headers are different. There are special "spaghetti" systems that give more peak power (it may be all that they give). Staintune had a big bore system and I would ask them. You would put it back on the dyno again to make it all worthwhile. Good parts still need good tuning. To get 100hp out of a 1000DS you may need DP cams or aftermarket cams. Do a search here for "1123 hi comp pistons for DS" by Travman, a great thread.
Iirc the compatibility is with some brands of mufflers made to fit M600/750 thru to M1000. Not all are like that.

Others here will know more.

You should post a thread in the mods section. Sounds like a good performance project. waytogo
