I have recently fitted a pair of High Mount Termi Pipes to my Monster 620 (Full rebuild tread coming shortly)

The cans are carbon and I don't like the look of the full carbon heat shields.

I came across this picture and am curious if this person just cut the heat shields or can you purchase a short version like the one in the photo?

Any thoughts be greatly appreciated.

My Guess is that it's cut (the larger ones have the same slash cut in the front)

Cutting with a dremel and sanding carbon is really easy - just wear a mask - I hear carbon dust is bad stuff.

There's been countless versions of heat shields over the years. I've seen those small sections several times. Not exactly what you're looking for, but they're out there.

Ya I suspect they are cut but curious to see what others thought or have come across. Might try and find a second hand pair worthy of a chop. Hate to cut mine as they are mint. I have been looking on eBay at some of the variations from different models. Just need to get the 2 screw holes lined up.
