2014 Monster 796

« on: January 14, 2017, 07:01:42 PM »

Broke the right rear tail blinker swinging my leg over the bike.  I used epoxy to fix it which last a while but eventually the vibration gets to it.  This winter I plan to replace the stock mud flap and install a new rear blinker.  Asking the forum for their opinion of these three products that I have narrowed my purchase down too.  Curious about compatibility, fit & finish, and ease of install.

1)  Ducati Monster 696 796 1100 Carbon Fiber Tail Tag License Plate Hanger by Bestem
2)  2008 - 2014 Ducati Monster 696 796 1100 Carbon Fiber Mudflap Top Cover - 1x1
3)  Evotech Fender Eliminator.

Thank you,

Hi and welcome  waytogo

(please copy and paste links to what you want us to look at)(I did it, but don't expect help if you don't)

The first two are parts of the complete assembly and will have the same shape and length as stock. The EvoTech is a complete shorter kit.

I think I have the Evotech on my 796... it certainly cleans the rear up, in fact, I think it looks a little nekked without at least a little bit of fender.  I'll also tell you this, if you ride in the wet, you are going to get wet... right up the backside.

I have the evotec fender on my monster 1100. The build quality and finish is top notch.

I had the Ducati performance fender on my 696, I really liked the way it looked and it has a tiny bit of fender to block some water but, it was plastic and I had to trim the euro plate holder arms to fit my US plate. Check out the Carbonvani website, they make the Ducati fender eliminator but in carbon fiber!

+1 on the plate adapter. I had to fab my own bracket to keep the tabs of the evo tech provided brackets from showing around the sides of my California plate.

Thank you everyone for the input.  It rains occasionally prior to heading home.  I went with the carbon fiber stinger from Tekarbon.  They were fair on the shipping to Alaska.
Charlie98...great pics.  You installed some tasteful upgrades.  I like the windscreen.

Thank you,

Sounds like a good choice. Post some pics once you're done fitting it.
