It was a given since he returned that Yamaha's focus would always be Rossi. In that sense, he forced Jorghey's ginormous ego out the door.
I look at it more like You'reghey wimped out and blinked.

He's too much of a premadonna to be second fiddle to Rossi. The only reason he didn't leave immediately was because the only other viable bike at that time was Honda with MM.

Best way not to be 2nd fiddle is to beat your team mate. He did that the year before.

He did and he likely expected Yamaha to worship him and only him. So he was butt hurt when they refused to say that he was their number one rider. When Rossi got the contract at the same he did and possibly for similar pay, the baby jumped ship.

I think he's going to regret that.

I agree, especially this season. I think he might be on the podium on a few occasions, but likely going to end up on the gravel a lot. I see him finishing in 6th or 7th place.

I think he pulled the trigger too early on that article.

The inerters sit between the suspension and the chassis.
Penske has shocks with those inerters built right in.
I called 'em and chatted for a bit with their sports-car tech, he said they use 'em on Indycar and other car stuff where it's legal, Pro Stock drag cars, some other 4-wheeler thing I forgot.
He had a recollection that moto guys tried 'em, but the different feel was an issue, but he wasn't sure exactly.
I'll talk with their moto tech guy, see if there's any being used on bikes.
Not super relevant to the Salad Box, just piqued my interest.
