Another thing I like about him is that he always makes it appear that he's having fun. Too many riders make it seem like a job they don't enjoy.

AFAIK, there's substantial performance bonuses based on finishing position.
I think Cal, Jack, Maverick, Dovi, and Iannone saw some epic paychecks.
