yes ... i spoke with carlo and del torchio at the president's meeting on sat night ... they both want to step it up for next year's laguna ducati island, as this was their first view of the event in person.

a presto,
johnc

He seemed like a pretty cool guy. I guess he's seriously on it. Sounds like they're planning on hunkering down and doing something extra next year on the island. That's fantastic.

Good seeing you on the island btw, however briefly.

I never ended up going onto the island because I figured they wouldn't let my g/f in with me. She is awesome enough to ride motorcycles and be in to events like MotoGP that I wasn't about to leave her on her own while I got to look at fancy Ducati things.

You don't need anything to walk onto Ducati Island. You need a wristband to get into the hospitality tent.

Anybody get the race on DVR? It'd be neat to see it from all the other perspectives.

We've got it at the store, Dan.  Come by any time, and I'll throw it on for you.

Gee, anyone on this thread hang out in the VIP area, Ducati pits, see hotness walking, snap any great race shots, and have it to show?

Guess you missed this? cheeky

I'll sum up simply. I'm tired. I'll post more later, with pics.

1. Amazing early morning ride through the mountains with Maria and Desmostro.
2. Hanging out in the  Alice/Pramac Team garage with the guys.
3. Red Bull VIP party w/ E-Boz, Toseland, Nicky, Silvan, John C, RayBob, Liam & Schwantz.

4. No leo problems.
5. Great ride home via 9 &35
6. Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed.

Pics are coming soon. I didn't take a ton of photos in the garage since the bodywork was off the machines... can't really be sure what's proprietary secrets and what isn't, so best not to click away.

As for the Red Bull VIP party, John C can confirm this as well.

I really owe Liam a great thanks for bringing me in. He gave me an opportunity that wouldn't just happen on its own...got a lot of good networking done. waytogo Who knows, maybe in a year or two I'll be logging on to the DMF from around the world, on the GP circuit? Wouldn't that be too cool?! Cool

Besides all the "rock star" treatment, I got a lot of potential sponsors interested in Team Tigerbike!

Ya that last post was kind of for you.  laughingdp Share! Do I have to hold my breath?  popcorn
All I've got is my lame ass camera-phone shots. (My sporty camera got ran over by 250 cyclist after snapping a shot of Lance.
I stuck my camera under my number plate instead of in my jersey pocket. Oops. But I got this totally unrelated to anything here image that I told you about the other day:

First timer Laguna Seca/MotoGP/Ducati Island for me. What an awesome experience!!! I was really bumbed that I couldn't get onto the Island with my S4R, just had a new Motocreations exhaust installed and wanted to show it off.

The race was memorable. The scenery was okay, but tough to appreciate when my wifey is hotter than 99% of the paddock chicks. The ducati's... priceless.

Although I am located way north of you N. Cali folks, I'd love to come down and visit on one of the Desmo Owners nights. Being north of Redding makes a quick jaunt down to Sac or San Jose a task, lots of slab between us!!!

Laguna Seca is on my calander for next year!!!

Not to be inappropriate, but the saying around here is strictly, "PCTURES OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!"
