back on a Monster, question about seat cowl attn: Ducpainter

After having sold my S2R in '11 and gone bikeless I impulse bought a 2007 S4R for sale here locally the other day. Less than 4k miles on it, but it ain't perfect nonetheless. It's missing the seat cowl! Gotta have that seat cowl. I'm trying to scheme on the replacement, a new one is $325, eBay carbons are anywhere frim 110-200. I don't like the look of carbon fiber, it's played out and boring, and not significantly lighter than the OE plastics it replaces at great expense. I've no use for it. But I'd buy a carbon cowl if a) I knew which specific one to buy that fit the most correctly and b) if the Ducpainter could paint it with the OE titanium/black stripe and I could get the cowl & paintwork done for $250 or so. I'm thinking not likely but just thought I'd post up and ask. Not going to find a used cowl in the correct color so that option is out. Thanks

I've closed my shop. Got tired of losing money trying for perfection.

Guess that answers my question. That's a bummer, you did great work.

Thanks.
It just got to the point where the only ones making money were my supplier and the paint companies.

They are out there. I had a buddy total his monster but it didn't have the cowl on it at the time. I'll see if he still has it.

If that doesn't work out, I may have a rashed up one somewhere you can have cheap.

So after his move it is hidden in some box somewhere. He will keep an eye out but probably not going to get to it anytime soon. Id keep an eye out on ebay, set up a search to alert you if one pops up.
