Just picked up a titanium S4R totally stock, still has the colostomy bag exhaust collector, stock levers, & tail intact. Three things that usually get upgraded first thing. Now begins the process of rearranging the bike to suit, naturally. I was disappointed to see the headlight bucket for this bike is kind of a cheap plastic. My S2R had a metal one. Before I go on eBay to pick up an older metal headlight assembly I should probably ask if it will fit first, or what years/models are compatible. I want to powdercoat both the ring & bucket semigloss black as I had done with my last bike. Thanks

Will it fit the headlight brackets? Yes, width is the same.
Will it fit your headlight ring? No, it mounts different.

I believe metal was up until 2006 and plastic started in 2007. Hence your S4RT having a plastic bucket.

The cheap plastic is lighter, doesn't dent and doesn't rust.
