Monster 620 Replacement Chain
«

I need to replace the chain on my 2003 Monster 620, and I'm having a hard time finding replacement size information. I purchased this chain back in November, but now I'm thinking it is the incorrect size. Any information, or sources is appreciated.

520 is correct size/width and according to gearingcommander.com 106 links is correct length

Thanks! That's a great site. I was double checking the specs of the chain that I purchased on another site, and under fitment only dirt bikes and ATVs are listed. Should I worry about that, or are width and number links all I have to worry about?

I don't know if this particular chain is limited to those bikes, but some would probably like a riveted master link instead of this clip link. If you like, use a few turns of safety wire around the clip and it's side plate.

Safety wire is your friend, and maybe a dab of smeared silicone to absorb vibration (racer's trick).

Resting consists of sitting behind my computer, it's all I got right now. Can't drive, can't ride, can't go to work or the gym...

If you are going to use rivet type master link, you'll need chain riveter.
Do you have all the tools needed?
How about the sprockets?
(Generally speaking, it is best to replace all of them (counter shaft sprocket, chain, and rear sprocket) at the same time.)
Call Jeff (Monsterparts.com) and ask what to buy, if this is your first time replacing the drive chain, before placing the order.
