Does anyone knows, if it’s possible swap the engine on Monster 796 –> 1098? Specially, with fixing it on frame...? Not interested in discussion of reasonably, just if it’s possible....

Thank you for any info and reply

Yes - it fits  Cool

Suspension won't fit. Probably not enough room for the radiator. Maybe clearance issues tank/heads...  It has been done and there are pictures, but it wasn't excactly a bolt on job  Tongue

Common issues can be around swingarm fitment, throttle bodies/airbox and water cooling components.
I reckon an 1100Evo motor is an easier candidate and with intake and ecu tuning can give 100+hp/80 ftlb and exciting power characteristics. I miss the power of my HM1100Evo.

If you do use an 1098 motor I'll be watching. Cheesy

Thank you both for replies. The biggest issue I see, is with cooling radiators and specially loosing an ABS.....

It was just a talk last night, if it’s possible and how if....and what’s better choice 1098 or 1198...

Regards
