I have a 09 Monster 1100s and the previous owner cut the passenger peg bracket off (he only rode it solo) I am wanting to ride a passenger and am looking for pegs, OEM is around $500, and aftermarkets run around $1000. I found a set of 2012 696 brackets for $120 and they look the exact same as my bike...does anyone know if the 696 ones will fit?

That should be easy enough....

Ducati.com or Ducati Omaha for parts catalogs and see if the numbers match (different colors are often the letter(s) behind the number)

I did look that up, the numbers are not the same. I'm guessing they indeed do not* fit then...

The aftermarket rearsets for S2R and 696/796/1100 were the same - just a spacer or two on the lower screws (because the cases were different there). The spacers were the reason for the different part numbers. Maybe something simple like that in your case too?

From the old pdf parts catalogues:

'09 M1100s - 824.1.144.1B Foot peg holder plate (R.H.)

'10 M1100s - 824.1.144.1B Foot peg holder plate (R.H.)

'12 M696 - 824.1.144.1B Foot peg holder plate (rough) (R.H.)

Yes, I had to check....

It's just the letter A/B/C that's diiferent. I think that's the color.

The ones I found listed are 8243144.1A, He either has the wrong year listed or the wrong parts I'm guessing.

Regardless, 696 and 1100 are the same (except maybe the colors)  waytogo

And while you’re at it, powder coat those suckas black, makes the bike look so much better IMO!

I ordered them, we shall see if they fit. At 130 total, they both were less than one of the OEM.

Definitely coating them black, the singles I have now were powder coated and it made a massive difference.

Thanks for the help!
