Which Monster are you working on?

There's probably 20 different wiring harnesses amongst ~25 years of Monsters.....

On the wiring diagram I have with my manual it says engine stop is two wires r/ bk which I’d assume is red with black stripe.. the other is p/bk which no clue what that is with the color wires I described seeing coming off the switch

Those color codes are explained somewhere. Can't quite remember where, but I'm guessing on the diagram.

The wiring diagram color specs are only valid for the harness itself.

Accessory parts that plug into the harness do not necessarily have the same wire color.

Your owners manual has the same color code diagram callouts as what stopintime posted.

According to the wiring diagram the Blue and White is for the starter button.

Use the other two, and see what happens. Wink

You can download a diagram here... http://www.ducatiusa.com/services/maintenance/index.do

or there is one in your owners manual.

Interestingly, the pink/blk wire is shown in your diagram, and it is common to both switches.

Just a thought, Might need to clean the actual wires and possibly now it’ll look pink? I know when they get dirty and/or old color changes slightly.
