I will try to google map and link the road up, I will try hard , cause I am not good with keyboard & mapnet Smiley , but I knew the road inside out by 1/2 lb inside my skull Smiley

Cheers

Hey Danny,
Thanks for organizing this ride - it sounds awesome! I would have loved to come with but I have my best friend from Paris in town on Saturday.  Since he doesn't ride and doesn't have any gear to match all his lovely bling that he brings with him from Pareeeee, I don't think I'll have much luck persuading him to sit cupcake  cheeky.  Have fun!!

If you want to link to a Google Map, you need to click the little "link to this page" link at the top right, then use the text in the first box. It tends to be really long, so tinyurl might be needed.

121 is an incredibly fun road. So is the section of 29 between Middletown and Calistoga, if you can catch it without traffic. I found last weekend that 175 between Clearlake and highway 101 is a great stretch as well. It was completely the opposite of the direction I meant to be going in, but it was 20 miles I didn't mind backtracking. Smiley

Sorry...I'm committed to foothill shenanigans, otherwise I'd arrange a meet up.

I'm going to be brushing up on my late braking and cornering skill with 9oz of lexan and carbon fiber covered foam on my head, while wearing padded undies.  laughingdp In other words, I'm going for a bike ride. cheeky

Hey, you try carving corners, at max lean angle, on a tire that's only 20mm wide, at 35-40+ mph! Shocked waytogo Screw up, and yer  bacon bacon bacon!!!!

Nope. But the time I hit 68mph, it was almost double the posted limit, and again on 20mm tires!!! Yes, it was a very steep, long hill.  Yes, it was quite unnerving realizing I was doing damn near 70mph in lycra!! Shocked Shocked
