Never noticed diminished power with my Ex Box. But I also only rode the bike twice with stock before changing it up.

Yeah but...you're comparing the ExBox with the stock exhaust. I thought the discussion was more about comparing the ExBox with a full Arrow exhaust. Or Termignoni or whatever that's freeflow and full length over the shorter systems. The thing to remember is any of them will work but they have to be tuned, with the general understanding that the full systems will yield more power overall than the others. Something about scavenging effect. I guess my point is I would never spend good money to replace a perfectly fine already installed full Arrow system with something like an ExBox or a Termi shorty that would need a remap and would still make less power, and not sound as good doing it. Seems like a step backward. The sound and looks are subjective but the power isn't. I like the idea of the compact exhaust tucked under the bike which is a tidy way to go but the ExBox looks homemade to me, more so if it's ceramic coated.

Ah...yes. I totally agree with you there!  Dolph

From both a horsepower and weight loss performance perspective, a full Arrow system is a top tier exhaust. That exhaust is a maximum effort performance part and a valuable, hard to find asset.
