Took the tank off and checked the lines and they seemed to be good to me.
Tried to check the spark plug but I need a 3/8 to 1/2 socket adapter to reach the plug.
Measured the coil plugs resistance and it was about 1.2 ohms I think, the service manual says it should be 650 +/- 50, but still dont see why that would have caused it to shut down mid ride like it did.

Put a bottle of HEET into the tank ,added some 91 octane, and adjusted the fuel pressure regulator and the bike fired up for me!!!
Now the red light is still on though and it won't go off after driving around town a bit so I am scared to take her anywhere still

Please.
Stop running the motor.
The next time you start the motor absolutely have a gauge connected to check the oil pressure.
Please.

So just tested the cold start pressure and I'm getting 6 bar idle to 7 bar when revving up
Warmed up I'm getting about 4 bar at 1000 rpm and up to 6.5 while revving
Only revved to 4000rpm

Doesn't seem to be an oil pressure problem.

Well I couldn't help myself.
I took it out for a decent ride and just unplugged the oil pressure switch, so the light would stay off. Rode just fine. Guess it really is just the switch?

Is the connector making good contact?
You can, carefully, use a pick to slightly bend the female spade connector to tighten it. If there's no plastic protector, you can use pliers.

So after trying to use compressed air and dielectric grease. I just used some WD40 contact cleaner on it and it's working fine now. This is the new one thats working. I'll try putting the old one on later and see if it works now too.
