So it's the old chassis package that he has? If so it's the fish John West Rejected as Nate said. Maybe it didn't feel as good to the riders but was quicker. Geez the engineers might have been right for once! Shocked
It's last years bike with upgraded engine management. According to Zeelenberg, they didn't do it sooner due to engine limitations. Now that they know where they sit wrt to numbers of good engines it's safe to spin it faster.

I, personally, think that's just the company line, and they were holding off due to the factory boys being so noncompetitive.

Interesting, so we'll learn a lot once 1/4 is on the A bike and I'm sure everyone will be watching to see what happens.

+1 they do themselves no favors when the rookie beats the factory boys regularly.

Interestingly, Zarco was doing the same thing last year.

Humans are creatures of habit. The riders get used to a certain 'feel', and some don't seem able to adapt.

Zarco, and Quatararo, had no preconceptions of what it was 'supposed' to be like. They just used their talent to go as fast as possible. Same with Oliviera on the KTM. He was outperforming Zarco at most races.

Zarco became one that couldn't adapt.

He already got the rpm. He used it at Buriram.

Yep, read this morning they'd given it to him. Also said he was on his 4th of 5 engines now.

The celebrations upon winning championships has gotten quite inane. Used to be they'd just hand the guy a flag with the #1 on it and let him take a few laps. The pool table thing was just stupid. I thought he was going to hit his head on the lamp a few times. I guess that's the way it has gotten with all big sports spectacles nowadays. The Superbowl is probably the biggest example of this nonsense. Used to be they'd hang a little extra bunting in the stands, have a local high school band play during halftime and play the damn game. Sorry, old and cranky here.
