Andrew Short is from Colorado and he used to race Motocross and Supercross. He was teamed with Ryan Dungey and Trey Canard winning the Motocross des Nations Event held at Thunder Valley (Lakewood, Co) in 2012. He retired from Motocross/Supercross a few years ago and took up Rally Racing as in the Paris to Dakar type racing. This year he finished 5th but very close to third in the Dakar which was held in South America. Well Shorty just won the Moroccan Rally and finished second overall in the Rallies Championship. Short may be considered one of the favorites to win the 2020 Dakar which will be held in Saudi Arabia.
