With MV being the first shoe to drop, signed with Yamaha through 2022, it seems that the silly season started in earnest. I believe that the next signing will be MM relatively quick with HRC followed by his brother getting a 2 year extension.

In an interview with David Emmett, Gigi mentioned that he prefers that his riders' contracts be timed so that they need to negotiate with one per year. That would be smart since they potentially have more room to maneuver people around.

Wise of Yamaha to secure the Frenchman's services into the future. At this point he is more competitive than Rossi.

HRC will want to lock down MM quickly. MM will want his brother to be his teammate for the long term. If I were MM I would make it a stipulation that AM also be a signed for the same duration.

Yes, but they would have never gone down the path of signing Fabio without Rossi's approval, which I presume means that this might in fact be Rossi's last season. The other possibility is that we will see the VR46 team jump into MotoGP as a satellite Yamaha team. If I were Rossi this is how I would have played it.

Marc claims he's staying out of Alex' business with HRC.

Time will tell. If AM gets an extension Marc is FOS.

I already think MM is full of shit. He's running his own little mafia there between Repsol, his management and his family. I can give him kudos for his riding, but acting all innocent off the bike? Total BS.
