Australian Motorcycle News just published this article about the development of the 916.  They contacted Pierre Terblanche who took over as the Ducati's design manager after Massimo Tamburini went to Cagiva. Tamburini and Claudio Castiglioni have passed. Tamburini designed the 916.  Pierre designed the Hypermotard, Sport classics, Mulstitrada 620/1000/1100, Super Mono, 749/999 and did some work on other models.
