It was the baja 500 that originally inspired me to buy a moto; a little TS 75 I saved 300 bucks from paper route money when i was 10, by 11 i was toddling around back country gravel and logging road on something I earned, it wasnt much but - it was a moto -; The Dakar was the ultimate awe inspiring adventure; has always been a life long fascination, along with the Baja 500. bacon

Are there any ducs in the Dakar 21? Baja 500 21?

....%^&#! .... refer to kopfjäger's posts on Dakar 21 for the preview .... popcorn

anyone been? going? there this year?  Dolph

142 entries no Ducati’s in the field.

Here’s a list of all the Moto entries.

Hard to wear skinny jeans in the Dakar, or Baja, events.

Shaun White pulled it off on the half pipe! No reason someone can’t design a Dakar skinny jeans moto kit!

funny but, what makes it funnier

"this from Ray Dudding; His Baja Duc made the front cover of Classic Bike Guide.

… rebuild was inspired by the Baja bikes, as I explain in the article, I know very little about the bike's history - if anyone knows anything of the bike's past I would love to hear from you.

It looks like my corrections got to the editor too late. So before anyone else mentions it, I know it was a scrambler not an R/T which won the first Baja 500, and the pic about next month's article is under a Scrambler not an R/T."
