My 20 y.o. daughter had her first ride on a real street bike today. She rode MX when she was younger so not new to riding but never rode a street bike before today. It took her a couple minutes to re-orient to shifting and made her first few turns with her leg out!
She had a blast and is all excited to get her permit now. Will get her signed up for MSF (only way for under 21 to get a permit in CA) and get her up to speed. Rented the R3 from Eagle Rider, went in to get the KTM 390 but it was getting serviced. R3 is actually a perfect little bike to get started on, so it worked out. Hopefully we’ll get to a track day after she gets a few street miles under her belt.
