Yes, I know... a noob question.

Andreani is making cartridge fork internals for the 796, now... but there are 3 different versions.  I think my US spec 796 has Marzocchi forks, but I need to make sure.  Was there a general rule to what forks went on what bikes, or is there a casting or stamp somewhere I can decode with my Magic Decoder Ring?

My Evo has adjustable Marzocchis.
I'm guessing yours has a stylised M on the inside of the lower fork

The 796 was supposed to have adjustables, it's even in the manual, but they must have cheaped out at the last minute and put non adjustables on it.  It's not a bad fork, but it's not great, either.
