Pump assy out of tank 3 months.
Reassembled, mixed fuel lines in/out of assy. It started but sounded different and ran weak.
Fuel lines correct, runs the same, weak, little power, full throttle almost nothing happens. No stalling or misfires, just weak.
Feels like weak fuel supply.
No kinked fuel lines.
Filter less than a year/5k km old.
Charges good, 14.0V or better.

First guess, filter. Although pump works w lines mixed, the filter is mounted in a certain direction IIRC.
So, dried out of tank + fuel wrong direction has damaged it?

Pump, can it be weak or is it a part that works or not?
Damaged by mixed fuel lines?

Pressure regulator, same q,can it be weak or is it a part that works or not?
Damaged by mixed fuel lines?

Nothing else fiddled with during winter, only tank shrinking.
Very frustrating, hoping bad filter.

Pump can be weak, pressure regulator too.  I don,t have a spec, but someone does.  You can have a leak even with new hoses.  With bike running open cap and look for bubbles.  Change the filter anyway.  I would start by checking pressure, both at idle and under load.

This not good:

Switched both to new ones, ran noticeably better but no cigar.
Also checked new clutch slave, same figures as old one so no slipping issue.
Changed filter, no difference.

Hmmm, could be something else, forgot something?
Hmmm, yes...  Embarrassed Embarrassed
Dunno why l took them of when l had tank off but it do run better w both cables from rear ignition coil connected!  Embarrassed Cheesy
And w the fuel supply in top order, it really goes. I sooo love this engine.
Always check were you last fiddled...
