Here’s the finished seat and the tank with its modified filler where I have utilised the original Buell filler. The front will be secured with the Monster over the center catch.

This is my last post before the big day, I have been assigned several jobs!  so Merry Christmas to you all!

working my way through the wiring...  Due to LED indicators and lights there are no relays on this build so it's quite simple...I am using a very bright LED for the stand down warning, switched by an angle switch...  it remains to be seen if it tolerates the vibration!

well here it is... not quite finished as Royal Mail has let me down again...   It didn't start first time, in fact I spent MANY hours trying to find why I had no spark...  Turns out it was because the bank angle sensor was faulty...  I managed to bypass it and take it out of the circuit.

Especially the frame/tank/seat lines work well.


What are the maintenance requirements for belt drive?

Only thing, red and orange don't mix well IMHO, do the the shock spring black.

Thanks!  the belts seem to last and last if they are tensioned right...  the problem is the distance between to gearbox output and the swinging arm pivot...  the correct way to sension them is to disconnect the shocker (one bolt) and move the swinging arm to its full extent...  then tension the belt so its "just" tight.  it does feel a little loose when its all connected back up, but unless you do this it causes strain on the bearings and belt

we all know that a light and fast throttle adds at least 20 BHP to a bike! As I am using a fast action throttle I needed to make some new cables… One tip I picked up is when you make the cables, cut the outer to expose the nylon inner so that it extends up through the bends so the whole thing is nylon lined

 well its finally finished...  After finishing a build I always drag everything out of the garage to have a good clean up...  so here they are lined up on the drive!  My wife came out and said I needed therapy...  I said this IS my therapy...

I probably wont do another build this winter..  that gives me plenty of time to sort a project for next one!
