Good day,

I am wondering if I have a common problem because my 2002 M750 has a simlar issue.

Recently it just cranks and does not start.
Also does not seem to be prming fuel when start switch is on

Typcial start up is key on, watch engine check from spedo indicators cycling,
clutch in
Kick stand up
Engine in neutral

Engage start button, release
Issue at hand

All of the above,  engine does not start
remove finger from start button.
Engine continues to crank, this is a Ducati feature unlike other motorcycles

l
turn off red engine button,  Starter stops cranking.  A Ducati thing

Seems like it is fuel starved.  What wire compoents are part of the eletrionic priming?

Any thoughts?

Thank you

That's a starting "cycle". Push button once - starter continues.

The "not starting" is not connected. Maybe borrow the under-ignition-lock-cover antenna from the 750. If that makes it start you MIGHT have a half broken antenna. Try several times during the next days to make sure (if it's now always starting, you were right). I'm assuming the antenna is common for both bikes, but you should check in the parts catalogs.

You might have two problems.  Yes, press starter button, release, still cranks, but not forever.  Count to ten (I don't remember how long it should be) it should stop cranking.

I suspect your not priming problem might be the fuel injection relay.  Before doing anything  see if the relay clicks when you hit the starter button with the key on.  If not, remove relay and at the connector, key on, you should have voltage at terminal 30 and 85.  86 is ground.  If you do, test or replace the relay. If not, you have a wiring problem.

To test the relay, 12 volts from the battery to terminal 30.  86 to ground battery.  Apply voltage to 85 and you should have voltage at 87.  Or jut buy a new relay.  Cheap enough, and it is not a bad idea to have an extra around.
